How does it go?
Welcome
We welcome you and take time for your questions. We briefly explain what ebru is and how the art came to be. You need no prior knowledge — we go through everything together, calmly, so you know what to expect.
At the tray
You get to know the tools and see how the colour floats on the water. Then you make your first attempts and get a feel for the material. Without any rush, you find your own rhythm.
First pattern
Step by step you create your first own pattern. We help you and show you the moves, but you choose the colours and shapes yourself. The result turns out different every time.
Your work
Finally you lay the paper onto the water and lift off your pattern. Each sheet is lifted only once, so it is one of a kind. You take your works home — a memory of the day.
Good to know
No experience needed
The workshop is designed for beginners — your first work appears on your very first try.
We bring all the materials
There's nothing to bring, apron included. Just don't wear clothes you'd mind getting stained.
