Pink Tulip with a Violet Border

The leaf bends over the stem as if to shield the bloom from the wind — drawn in a single pull while the water still allowed it. The cool blue inside and the rich violet around it came from two separate baths; the narrow gold rule between them was added only once both had dried. A small note: this sheet is mounted on board, with the border and gold rule added by hand afterwards. Left unframed, board can gently curve over time — behind glass it stays flat for good. That is why we like best to send it out framed. A frame of your own is just as welcome, though: it should measure 30 × 40 cm.
