The brightest flower in this series: rose and crimson run into one another, and through the middle of them fine white veins give the petals their shape. Two large leaves swing out to either side and let the flower stand between them. Those white lines are not painted on — they appear when the needle draws the colour apart upon the water and lets the pale ground show through for a moment. The calm sage-green battal ground gives the rose its precedence. A handmade one-of-a-kind piece in a simple black frame; each pattern forms only once.
